Free Printable Candy Corn Counting Cards

I love using different manipulatives for the students to practice their counting with. Working on counting to 20 is so much more fun when counting candy corn.

Prepare

This is a quick and easy one to prepare. Simply download and print the counting cards below, cut and laminate for durability. You’ll want to grab a bag of candy corn or any other fun manipulative you may have on hand already such as pom pom balls or mini erasers. I also used little cauldron containers I found in the Dollar Spot section at Target, and some other fun similar size containers I happened to find brand new at the Thrift Store.

To Play

There are so many different ways you can use these counting cards. Simply put the cards in a stack. Have the student turn a card over and count out that many candy corn.

You can mix it up and have the students practice their counting while using a pair of plastic tweezer/ tongs and mini erasers to help with their fine motor skills.

Or pom poms are a fun way to change it up too.

You can also just give the stack of cards to the students, and have them put them in numerical order so practice their number sense. Or if they’ve mastered that, use them to practice sorting into piles of even and odd numbers, or practice skip counting.
