One of my most favorite books ever is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It’s always been a favorite of mine but even more so once I had my son years ago and it quickly became a favorite of his as well. He had the book memorized and would read it back to me several times each night. I can still hear that cute little baby voice saying sausage in a silly way.

I still love reading this book today as it brings back so many memories and is a favorite of so many others. I wanted to make a fun activity to go along with the book, so I’m sharing with you a Free Printable Caterpillar Hat for the kids to color and wear after reading the story.

Have you seen the animated video of the story? It’s a short film but it has such a calming tone to it and is a great retelling of the story.
