This quick-prep Valentine’s Day CVC words write the room center is a perfect way to incorporate movement in your reading / ELA center rotation. This is a great way to allow your students to get up and move about the classroom while being on task. They are a great way to reinforce CVC words.

Simply tape the Valentine’s Day cards around the room. The student will then find each of the cards and write the corresponding CVC words on the included recording sheets.

What’s included:

40 CVC candy heart write the room cards. There are 8 of each letter, a, e, i, o and u. There are 20 spots to write on the recording sheet, so you can play several times with mixing up the cards differently each time, or use only the middle sound letters that you’ve covered so far.

2 recording sheets – one lined, one handwriting lines.

If you use it as a center, laminating is suggested for longer use.

What’s Included:

There are 7 center rotations included. Table tents for each activity are also included.

1. Pumpkin Patch Scavenger Hunt Write the Room – Tape the picture cards around the room. The students will find them all and write each word.

2. Pumpkin Patch Map Making – The students will get to design/draw and label their own pumpkin patch.

3. Make A Snack – The students will have a pumpkin bread snack. They will also learn how to make the pumpkin bread using the sequencing activities.

4. Pumpkin Seed Measurement – The students will use pumpkin seeds to measure the different items using non-standard measurement.

5. Make A Craft – The students will make a pumpkin craft.

6. Pumpkin 2D Dough Mats – The students will create 2D pumpkin shapes using playdoh to help build fine motor skills..
