Fall Class Party Ideas Kindergarten – 2nd Grade

Are you looking for some fun fall class party ideas? Come and check out some of tried and true ideas to keep things fun and simple for your party.

I love throwing class parties during the holidays! I’ve done a ton of them over the years and love trying fun and new things all of the time. We usually only have an hour and a half at the most for our parties so I’ve kept my ideas on the simple side. My goal each year is to have one food/snack to eat, play a game, make a craft and have one other activity. I’ve rounded up a list of fun ideas that I’ve done over the years that would be great for a Fall Class Party Ideas.

THIS ACTIVITY WORKS WELL WITH

Food Ideas

Candy Corn Fruit Cocktail Cups

We made these one year and they were a huge hit. The whipped cream is a must and the kids added a few candy corn pieces to the top of theirs.

Pumpkin Patch Pudding Cups

These are so fun! Just like making dirt and worm cups but making them into a pumpkin patch.

Harvest Trail Mix

The kids love this one. I use snack-size bags and have all of the trail mix offerings in different bowls. I let the kids come up, 2 to 4 at a time, and they get to fill their bag with the trail mix makings of their choice.

Great Pumpkin Patch

The kids loved these. But to be completely honest, they were super messy to make with the kids spreading the frosting and they didn’t look near as cute as the picture. Lol. If you choose to do this one, just make sure you have a lot of parent helpers. Even though it wasn’t my favorite to do, the kids really did enjoy it a lot so that’s why I’m adding it in.

Activity Ideas

Caramel Dipped Apples

Every year we make caramel apples. I didn’t list this under food because we don’t actually eat them at the party. We dip them and let them sit. At the end of the day, we bag them up and they’re sent home with the kids so they can have a fun treat at home.

This is one of the kid’s all-time favorite projects. They’re excited that they get to share it with their family and it also gives us an opportunity to teach the kids a little about safety in the kitchen. I only have 2 kids at the table at a time with me and I make sure to teach them about the crockpot being hot. We use a towel laid over the edge of the crockpot as their dipping their apples so no one burns a wrist.

Autumn Word Search

This is a great way to keep the kids busy while your helping set up the next thing project, if they’ve completed their craft early, or as your having kids dip their apples. In other words, it’s my safety net to keep them busy so things don’t get out of hand.

Candy Corn Estimation

This is always a fun one. You just have a jar of candy corn and each student gets to make a guess on how many are in the jar. The closest person wins the jar to take home!

Craft Ideas

Paper Bag Scarecrows

These are simple and turn out adorable!

Candy Corn Owl

He is a lot of fun to put together. The kids loved using the candy corn on him.

Game Ideas

Fall Bingo

This is our favorite game to play. Not only do we play it during the party, they also get the opportunity to earn it as a whole class reward during the month. Let me just tell you, bingo is still an all-time favorite with the kids!

Fall Minute To Win It Games

These are games are always a hit. Set up 5 stations and let the students rotate through them. I even have game tents you can download with instructions so you can parent volunteers help with the games.

Pumpkin Toss Game

Pumpkin Relay Race

The kids take turns balancing a small pumpkin on their heads.

Fill The Pumpkin With Popcorn Race

You can use a real pumpkin which is super fun or a plastic one works well too.

Pumpkin Ring Toss

We use embroidering hoops and toss them into the pumpkins.

Pumpkin Bowling

Using a small pumpkin, the kids try to knock down the half-filled water bottles.

Don’t forget that you’ll need a few prizes if you’ll be playing games.

Also, don’t forget to send out your invite to the parents with the day and time the party will be. You’ll also want to ask for supply and or money donations at this time to help with the party. Make sure to ask for parent volunteers as well. If you need a quick form to send home, there is one in my Room Parent -Room Mom Binder.

Fall Class Party Ideas- Note home

Just remember, these are all ideas. All of them I’ve personally tried over the years and have they have worked out well. Just pick a couple of your favorites to try this year and save the rest for next year!

Do you have any other fun activities you can add?

Thanks for stopping by!
