There are so many fun activities to help teach about 2D shapes. We’re reviewing our 2D shapes and I wanted something to incorporate something fun for spring into the mix.
With this free printable 2D shape flower, we are practicing our 2D shapes, colors, counting and fine motor skills.
To start, have the students color the shapes on the page according to the directions.
Next, they’ll cut out all of the shapes. When they have all of the pieces cut out, they’ll need the, “My Shape Flower” page. They will glue all of the pieces onto the page using the shapes to make their flower and sun.
Lastly, they will count all of the shapes they used and write them on the correct lines.
I love it when we can incorporate all different types of math into one project!
We even have a whole pack of holiday and seasonal 2D shape crafts if your students liked this one!
If you’re looking for other fun ways to review 2D shapes, little learners love playing 2D shape bingo to review their shapes!
And another favorite is these 2D shape hats. They love making these hats and are so proud to parade around the school showing them off.
And to add to your math center rotation, these 2D shape spin and covers are always fun!
What are some of your favorite ways for your students to practice their 2D shapes?
See you next time!
