One of my most favorite books ever is The Very Hungry Caterpillar. It’s always been a favorite of mine but even more so once I had my son years ago and it quickly became a favorite of his as well. He had the book memorized and would read it back to me several times each night. I can still hear that cute little baby voice saying sausage in a silly way.

I still love reading this book today as it brings back so many memories and is a favorite of so many others. I wanted to make a fun activity to go along with the book, so I’m sharing with you a Free Printable Caterpillar Hat for the kids to color and wear after reading the story.

My children were so excited about the story I read last week on the hungry caterpiller. Making this hat tomorrow will certainly work as a good follow up to the story. Thank you so much. Such a coincidence. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to post some pics of my class . .

Today's read-aloud is Just Like Abraham Lincoln. It is a well-woven story about ordinary people who find themselves brought together by a common interest. It describes some of Lincolnโ€™s good qualities and what he may have been like.
