Literacy Snack Cupcake Free Printable
I just love all of the books that Laura Numeroff writes. She’s one of my favorite authors to have the students do author studies on. Her books are fun, have great illustrations by Felicia Bond, and keep the kids engaged looking forward to what’s coming next.
For this week’s Literacy Snack Cupcake Free Printable idea, we’re reading, If You Give A Cat A Cupcake, by Laura Numeroff. We’ve read If You Give A Dog A Donut here, and If You Take A Mouse To School here, and thought it was time to do another of her books!
For our snack this week, we’re having cupcakes with sprinkles just like the cat in the book.
THIS ACTIVITY WORKS WELL WITH
Snack Idea
We’re taking the easy road this week’s snack and I just purchased mini cupcakes with sprinkles from the grocery store. If you have some extra time, you could make cupcakes with sprinkles for your students at home as well.
Free Printable
While your students are enjoying their sweet snacks, I made a free printable for them to work on. It’s a fun way to practice sequencing. They will cut out the circles with pictures on them, and glue them around the cat with the cupcake in the order they happen in the story.

And have you seen the If You Give A Mouse A Cookie series on Amazon Prime? My kids love it!
I hope your students enjoy these fun stories as much as I do!
See you next time!
